In the mid-1950’s, Andrea Cracchiolo and Art Sbrana made a visit to Southeastern Arizona to investigate opportunities available in a specific town in sparsely populated Cochise County. The two friends decided to invest in the area, then known as Fry, by purchasing some 8,000+ acres of "prime" land. Today, some 40+ years later, that same area is now one of the fastest growing communities in Arizona, the city of Sierra Vista.

Over the years, the residential and commercial property activities evolving from that original investment have grown and developed into different corporate entities. One of those entities is Bella Vista Water Company.

Although in existence under different names since the early 1960s, Bella Vista Water Company, as we know it today, was incorporated in June 1982. The company’s reputation, since those earliest days, has been one of consistent, strong, dedicated leadership within -- and service to -- the community. With the recent (May 2002) sale of Bella Vista Water Company stock to Algonquin Water Resources of America, Inc., this same commitment to our customers and our community remains firmly in place.

With almost 7,000 customers, Bella Vista Water Company is now one of the larger investor-owned water utilities in Arizona, and the largest provider of water for residential and commercial use in Cochise County.
